FYI, ZTerm for OS X seems to work well with the clone if you're a Mac user. I tested sending HEX and binary files using XMODEM (make sure File::Transfer Convert is set to 'Binary' and not 'MacBinary'). Otherwise, no surprises yet. It's easy to change baud and bit settings. The purchase price seems reasonable.
