I read through the What happens inside the RAM thread, but what I found interesting is that when I turn off my Altair after loading in a simple program from the front panel ( kill the bit for instance ), and then turn it on, the program is still there... :) This does not seem to be by design, as I asked Mike about it, and he pointed me to the What happens inside the RAM thread, which kinda touches on this...
Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this...
when I woke up this morning kill the bit was still there from last night... this is by no means a complaint, but I'm wondering if this is something i can count on :)?
is it possible i hit the memory protect when in page 00 memory? Just wondering :) perhaps i should do the stop/reset before checking again, and then see if it's still there?
:)
Cheers. :)

Re: What happens inside the RAM - extended mix...
the program will not stay forever.
but it is very small so it is logical that it does not corrupt fast.
but if you load a disk and stuff, there are more chances that the file is corrupted to pieces once you turn the altair ON.
