I have successfully powered on the empty chassis. Three of the 4 voltages are good, but no out put from the 8v 8A supply. I don't see any voltage out of T1 when measured across the AC input to the bridge rectifier. Not sure how to proceed, but think I need to cut the transformer wires to isolate the transformer and confirm it's health (or lack of).
Assuming that is the problem, anyone have a source for the 7.5V 8A transformer?

Re: Help to ID this Altair?
Just disconnect the transformer 8v secondary from the bridge rectifier using the "least invasive" method you can. Unplug it, unscrew its spade lug or desolder it - whatever method is available - but don't cut the wire if possible, at least not in the middle. Do whatever you gotta do to disconnect the transformer for testing that's reversible and repairable.
I'm sure you will find that the 8v secondary winding is open. That may be what sent this wonderful system into storage.
Next step is to find a replacement transformer!
