TerraTerm Help!

Postby MajorClements » January 30th, 2014, 1:19 pm

I can't seem to get anything on the TerraTerm Window when I'm using the Altair
Sincerely,
Daniel

I doubt you are actually up against a TeraTerm problem. Not much to that except choosing the right COM port and setting the right baud rate. Getting two devices to communicate with each other over a serial port was often a very frustrating ordeal in the good old days!

Since you wired your own Clone cabinet and are using your own cable to connect the Clone to your PC, I'd begin by mapping out the wiring of transmit, receive and ground signals from the PCB in the clone to the DB-25 on the Clone's rear panel. Then map the same signals through the cable you are using to connect from the Clone to your PC. If you are using a serial to USB adapter at the PC end, look in the Device Manager on your PC to verify there is not a small yellow "!" on the adapter and to see what COM port was assigned.
