Is it possible to use the Disk Boot Loader ROM with 88SIO ?

Post by Synoptic »

I noticed that when I set the first port to type 88-SIO, I am unable to boot my CP/M disk uaing the Disk Boot Loader.

I am asking this because I have a terminal which works only with 7E1 settings and I would like to use it with my Clone.

All versions of Altair CP/M default to using an 88-2SIO for the console. Lifeboat CP/M 2.2 can be configured to use the 88-SIO. CP/M 2.2b (track buffered) can be as well. They’re easiest to reconfigure if you can boot using an 88-2SIO to then make the version that uses thr 88-SIO for the console.
