In a minimally populated setup like an 8800C do you think were really need a fan?

I haven't used one and have absolutely no heat issues at all. Case always feels cold the the touch.

Re: Fan or No Fan?
When I've setup on the desk, I've noticed only a small amount of heat from the power supply regulators. Not so much that I think a fan is required. Even when a fan is installed, it isn't positioned to do much and there isn't much of a flow-path. So I think its benefits are marginal.
Still, I'm putting a fan in my build. It can't hurt to blow some air around inside. And it adds to the nostalgia factor.

You definitely don't need one even for a full nine card system but, for authenticity, I put one in mine anyway.Curto wrote:In a minimally populated setup like an 8800C do you think were really need a fan?
