If I can get my 8800c working I would buy one.

I have ordered the boards. I've gone with the matte green solder mask, HASL finish with hard gold fingers. The selling price will be $40 per board plus shipping. Here is a picture of the proto board in my 8800C. I purchased the proto from ExpressPCB, last time I do that, and they only offered this size board without soldermask or silk screen, so it looks a bit plain. The production board should look very nice.

I've been playing around with it and haven't found any problems. For a little project, I wrote a program to read a tape into memory and then write it back out. I used this to read in the bitstream from 8K BASIC in it's MITS standard format and write it back out to tape with the KC standard.

The first time I've ever loaded BASIC on an Altair. What a joy!

Yes, it's a shock after waiting eight or nine minutes for a tape to load and suddenly seeing MEMORY SIZE? pop up on the monitor!
Please let us know when you're taking orders. My PayPal, plastic or whatever is standing by!

I ordered the boards but the order was delayed due to Chinese New Year. I received an update a couple days ago that the ship date is March 4th, so it won't be long. :)

It is so nice to have a terminal and cassette interface so I can do stuff with my 8800C. I figured out how to use Teraterm to transfer a BASIC program as a text file to the terminal port. I had some old school fun playing Hunt the Wumpus and Star Trek.

Any word on the boards?
I'm not anxious to get started at all! ;^)
