Copy games from the clone to an Osborne machine

Postby Synoptic » March 8th, 2022, 7:08 pm

Hi everyone !
I have a game on my Altair clone, LADDER.COM that I would like to send to my newly acquired Osborne Executive computer. All I have for the Osborne are the three CPM disk, nothing else. I can boot and that's pretty much it.
I was wondering if I could use PIP to copy the game from the Altair to the Osborne ?

If you have the source to LADDER, you can do it with PIP but a COM file probably won't go over properly. Didn't the Osborne come with a terminal program? If so, see if it supports either XMODEM or YMODEM. Those protocols are meant for transferring binary files.
