RBBS BBS software running on Altair Clone

Postby gmh » November 14th, 2015, 4:57 pm

Hi all,

I had a bit of time on my hands so I wanted to see about getting a BBS running on the Altair Clone. RBBS seemed like the perfect choice since it is written in BASIC, and was designed to work with CP/M. I haven't done too much testing yet, but this seems to run as expected.

Be sure to check out the comments at the start of the source code to configure to your liking.

Next step, when I have time is to make this work over telnet.

Hey, I could pout this on my online altair at http://www.micronick.com/altair !

I do not have a lot of time on my hands, so I will gladly take a pre-configured disk with a compiled version on it! anyone want to help me with this ? I think it could be really fun ! We could maybe keep the Zork Games as doors ?

Mike Douglas ported the BYE.ASM code to use a 2SIO port 2 with CTS Enabled. BYE.COM plus XMODEM.COM form a simple Remote CP/M (RCP/M).

I set up Telnet access and have a simple message system based in MINI-RBBS.

I downloaded the code for RBBS and will get set up to compile it. Adding RBBS to my RCP/M turns the system into a BBS
