8K BASIC ver 3.2

Postby AltairClone » February 15th, 2014, 12:38 pm

I have extracted version 3.2 of 8K BASIC from an old cassette tape. It is now available as a bootable file from the "Altair BASIC" link on the support page. I have also added bootstrap loader files in that directory for those of us who don't actually toggle in the bootstrap loader by hand every time!

Also, under the "Cassette Interface Support Files" link, I have added 8K BASIC v3.2 to the cassette audio zip file and to the CP/M disk image (MITS Tapes.dsk) that allows you to write tapes using the ACR.

While 4K BASIC ver 3.2 is widely distributed, I don't recall seeing ver 3.2 of 8K BASIC on the net. Follow instructions in the Altair BASIC 1975 users' manual for booting. Note that the "new" version 3.2 instructions are in Appendix A at the end of the manual.
