Altair 8800 Clone Firmware Version 1.93

Firmware release version 1.93 for the Altair 8800 Clone is available on the support page at http://altairclone.com/support.htm.

This update fixes front panel deposit operations to locations 0-2 when executed during the first three bus cycles after a reset when the Turnkey module is enabled. Details are provided in the ReadMe.txt file.

The readme says the upgrade returns the Clone to "proper" operation. By proper do you mean the way the original Altair did it or do you mean what the operation should be like logically? The two are not always the same!

The Readme file covers in detail (five paragraphs under “Background”) how and why a real Altair with a Turnkey board exhibits the behavior it does in this corner case of operation. You tell me whether the “proper operation” summarized in the first paragraph duplicates the real hardware or not :)
