Video Request

Postby Caterman » November 14th, 2015, 3:14 pm

Suffering from video demo withdrawal symptoms here.
I'm sure I'm not alone!
Please, please, Mike.

I don't know what there is left to show but I certainly enjoy the ones already made!
I do wish the resolution was at least 720p, though.

I've run out of Altair-specific video ideas! Any suggestions?

I need a faster computer, or more patience, to process videos at full HD :)

how about a video on using the configuration menu,
updating firmware, and changing serial port settings. :)

I know it takes away from the Altair 8800 mystique, but it would be great to see these steps laid out. :)

Just a suggestion, I have not been to the forums for a while, but my Altair Clone is still front and center on my desk in my office. :)

I love that thing. :)

(Been doing a lot of COSMAC ELF and VIP stuff recently .... :) )

Cheers. :)

I love this stuff, just wish my wife did... :)

Just a line to echo waltermixxx's request about a video on the configuration menu. There's stuff in the manuals about how the SIO and 2SIO ports differ from one another that I would love to hear explained in Mike's inimitably clear style. I read the manual on the 88-VI-RTC board but wasn't really getting it until I watched Mike explain it all in his video. More please, Mike! (Did I mention that I think you missed your calling as an instructor of this stuff?)
